Salesforce Launches eVerse: A New AI Agent Simulator

At its heart, eVerse is a training ground. Think of it as a giant simulation world where AI agents can talk to fake customers, deal with tricky situations, and learn how to respond better the next time.

Salesforce built eVerse because today’s AI often struggles with “jagged intelligence.” This means an AI can be extremely strong in some areas but suddenly fail at a simple question that a human would answer in seconds. For example, riddles, sarcasm, humor, or broken speech still confuse many modern AI models.

Salesforce eVerse targets these blind spots and helps companies build agents that are more natural, more context-aware, and more reliable.

Why eVerse Matters?

Most businesses want AI agents that talk like humans, solve problems fast, and don’t break down in real-life situations. But training an AI to handle thousands of different accents, noise levels, emotions, and conversation styles is extremely hard.

This is where eVerse shines. Instead of waiting for customers to call with issues of every kind, companies can simulate those moments and see how their agents handle them. Then they can iterate, improve and test again without the cost and time waste.

How eVerse Works?

eVerse uses a three-step cycle: Synthesize, Measure, and Train. This cycle repeats until the agent reaches the quality a business needs.

  1. Synthesize: Creating Realistic Simulations

    eVerse can generate entire conversations, complete customer histories, complex workflows, and even rare or stressful scenarios. These are not random sentences, it’s carefully designed synthetic data that mimics how real customers behave.

    A year ago, Salesforce introduced something called CRMArena-Pro, which was the starting point of this idea. They used it to test early agents using fully synthetic customer data, and the results were impressive. Experts felt the synthetic interactions looked almost real.

    But eVerse adds something even more powerful: synthetic voice simulations.

      Now an AI agent can be trained to handle:

    • people talking fast
    • poor network connections
    • loud background sounds
    • half-distracted callers
    • heavy accents
    • emotional customers
    • multitasking conversations
      You can even create and save specific “Personas.” For example,

    • “angry passenger stuck at the airport”
    • “sleep-deprived nurse calling from a noisy ward”
    • “busy parent with kids screaming in the background”

    These Personas allow teams to train their agents repeatedly on the same scenario to measure improvement.

  2. Measure: Scoring the Agent’s Performance

    Once the agent completes a simulated conversation, eVerse generates a detailed performance score.

    It uses an AI Judge, which reviews the transcript and highlights exactly where the agent did well and where it failed. The judge looks at:

    • understanding of instructions
    • tone of voice
    • timing
    • accuracy of information
    • next-step decisions
    • problem-solving quality

    This means you don’t just get a “pass/fail.” You get reasons. You get insights. You get a roadmap to fix the issue.

    Salesforce also mentioned that companies can run hundreds or even thousands of sessions in a short time. You can test dozens of Personas, conditions, and workflows to see how your agent reacts in every scenario.

  3. Train: Fixing Weak Spots With Reinforcement Learning

    After spotting the gaps, Salesforce eVerse helps train the agent using a combination of reinforcement learning and expert human input.

    It’s like coaching an athlete after watching them in video. The agent learns from its errors, plays the scenario again, and improves each time.

    Salesforce says this method made their agents’ enterprise success score jump from p19% to 88%p, which is a massive improvement.

How eVerse Helps Agentforce Voice?

Salesforce shared that eVerse played a major role in building Agentforce Voice, its new voice AI. Even today, many customers prefer calling, so the system had to handle real-world challenges like noise, accents, interruptions, and emotional conversations.

With eVerse’s realistic simulations, Salesforce ran thousands of test calls to train and refine Agentforce Voice. This early testing helped teams fix issues quickly and ensure enterprise-level stability.

Madhav Thattai, COO of Salesforce AI, explained,

“With eVerse, we were able to explore many nuances of human conversation before Agentforce Voice reached production. This type of rigor turns breakthrough research into scalable products and dependable customer experiences.”

What About the Cost of Salesforce eVerse?

Salesforce is still working out the pricing model for eVerse. As the pilot continues, the team is evaluating how many tokens each test run should use and how that consumption will translate into billing.

Madhav Thattai offered clarity on how things function today:

Customers can access agentic features through their existing Agentforce subscriptions, or they can choose a usage-based option where they’re charged for the actions their agent performs in real operations. The core platform tools are included; only the live actions executed by the agent are billed.

At this stage, Salesforce eVerse is available only to a select group of customers as part of an early pilot rollout while Salesforce finalizes the commercial details.

Salesforce’s eVerse is a game changer for agent AI development in the recent years. It provides an intelligent, controlled, and realistic environment to develop agents that better understand human behaviors.
