10 Game-Changing Salesforce Summer ’26 Features
Summarize this blog post with:

Summer season has arrived, and so has a new Salesforce update which is called Salesforce summer ’26. Every year, Salesforce provides new tools to make the work more simple for the individuals who use it. This time, there are a few clearly cool adjustments that are not just about AI. They help with ordinary such things as checking who can see what, constructing paperwork, fixing errors, or even the use of dark mode!

In this blog, we will look at 10 easy but effective functions from the summer time 2026 update. Also we will explain each one in a very easy way, so everybody can understand it, even if you are new to Salesforce or have kn own it for a long time. By the end, you will know precisely what to tell your team, and why these updates matter. Let’s get started!

1. See Who Can Access a Field, All in One Place

Sometimes you want to know who can see a certain piece of information, like a customer’s phone number. Before, you had to check many different pages to find this out. That took a lot of time. Now, Salesforce has a new tool called Field Access. It shows you everything in one single view.

  • Go to Object Manager, pick your object, then click Field Access.
  • Choose the field you want to check.
  • You will see who can view or edit it, all in one screen.

2. Know What Changes Before You Save Them

Sometimes, changing one small setting in Salesforce can affect other settings without you knowing it. This can cause confusion later.

Now, Salesforce warns you right away. When you change a permission, it shows you if anything else needs to change too.

  • Update a permission or app access as usual.
  • Before saving, Salesforce shows you a pop-up with extra changes needed.
  • You can review everything before it happens, not after.

3. Add Two Formulas in One Report

Reports help us understand our data better. But sometimes, one formula is not enough to answer a question.

Good news! Now you can add two row-level formulas in the same report.

  • No need to create extra fields on your object.
  • You can calculate two things at once, like commission and time taken to close a deal.
  • This saves time and keeps your reports simple.

4. Share and Edit List Views More Easily

List views help you sort and view your data the way you like. Before, sharing them was tricky and needed special permission.

Now, there is a new setting that makes this simple.

  • A new toggle lets shared list views become editable.
  • People need the Create and Customize List Views permission to edit them.
  • A new “Manage Shared List Views” permission lets users share their own list views with their team, without needing full admin access.

5. Save Space With Radio Button Groups

When building forms (called Flows) in Salesforce, sometimes there are too many choices on the screen. This makes it messy and hard to read.

Now, there is a new component called Radio Button Group

  • It shows choices side-by-side on a computer, and up-and-down on a phone.
  • This saves space and looks cleaner.
  • Best used when there are up to seven choices. For more, use a dropdown list instead.

6. Style Your Own Flow Components

Developers who build their own custom tools inside Flows can now make them look nicer and match the app’s style.

  • Add a special tag in your component’s code file.
  • This lets you change colors, spacing, and sizes right inside Flow Builder.
  • You can group many style options together to keep things organized.

7. Use Smart Date Choices in Decisions

Flows often need to make decisions based on dates, like sending a birthday message or a renewal reminder.

Now, there are new date options to choose from.

  • Choices like “Is Today,” “Is Tomorrow,” and “Is On” are now available.
  • This means less need for tricky formulas.
  • It only works with Date fields, not Date and Time fields together.

8. Check Flow Errors When You’re Ready

While building a Flow, it can be annoying to see error messages pop up before you’re even done.

Now, that panel stays closed until you want to open it.

  • Build your Flow without interruptions.
  • When ready, open the validation panel to see errors, grouped neatly by section.
  • Click on any error to jump straight to fixing it.

This helps you focus on building first, and fixing later.

9. Hide Error Paths Until You Need Them

Flows often have paths for handling errors. But seeing them all the time can make the screen look cluttered.

Now, you can hide, or “collapse,” these paths.

  • Click to collapse or expand fault paths anytime.
  • Your browser remembers how you like your screen set up.
  • This keeps your main flow neat and easy to follow.

Less clutter means a clearer view of what matters most.

10. Try Dark Mode (Beta)

Many people enjoy using dark mode because it’s easier on the eyes. Salesforce is now expanding this option.

  • Available for Performance and Unlimited editions.
  • You can even upload a dark-mode version of your company logo.
  • Turn it on through Setup, under Themes and Branding.

Since this is still a beta (test) feature, it may have small bugs, but it’s exciting to try!

Conclusion

Salesforce summer time 2026 brings many small, however useful updates that make each day’s work more simple, whether you are an admin, a builder, or just someone who makes use of reviews. From checking area entries in one place to playing a cleanser flow Builder screen, those functions save time and reduce stress. You don’t need to use an AI tool to get greater out of Salesforce this season. Share this listing together with your group, attempt to check your capabilities, and see how a good deal smoother your work can become.
