Summers are here, so are the salesforce summer 24 updates!
It is an essential part of every admin’s job to stay updated about the salesforce updates which come three times a year. Salesforce releases new features and updates to the technology and salesforce instances, that allows users to advance in their technology and make their business seamless.
To make your salesforce experience better, learn about these updates which will help you meet the business requirements in a more effective way.
10 Salesforce Summer 24 Updates:
1. Automation Lightning App
There is a new Automation Lightning App that acts as the home for all automation-related things. Users having access to the app can see flows, errors, and other community-based links from and within the main application. We have never seen such a thing in Salesforce before.
2. Einstein for Flow
Einstein for Flow is a generative AI tool that allows users to create workflows based on a text entered. Admins have to simply describe the automation using the universal acceptable language and Einstein for Flow will generate a draft flow for you to try.
For example, an admin can type, “I want to create a flow that sends a notification to the marketing team when a lead is converted to an opportunity.” Einstein for Flow will then generate the code for a workflow that does exactly the same.
3. Einstein for Formulas
Einstein for Formulas can now help you fix formula syntax errors which are made.
To use this feature, admins can click “Use Formula Assistant” and you’ll see the suggested formula free from errors provided by Einstein for Formulas.

You can create your custom form as usual. After setting the field-level security, there is a new step to select which Lightning record page/s to add the new field to.
5. Set Conditional Visibility for Individual Tabs in Lightning App Builder
You can now customise tab visibility, by making individual tabs conditionally visible based on the criteria you want to set.
This means that if you want to provide a certain amount of access to certain users, then this can be applied using the Set Component Visibility settings just like any other component.
6. Customise Rich Text Fonts in the Lightning App Builder
Rich text can be given new styling features and fonts such as Heading 1 and Heading 2 which are available in the new dropdown menu in the Rich Text component Editor.
7. More Actions available in the Intelligence Views
Intelligence Views will now display standard and custom actions to boost user productivity when using these views. It will also suggest actions to customise your org.
8. Better Performance for List Views
The List View tab will have a better performance from your list views due to several changes made.
List views for custom objects will now consider Lightning Web Components (LWC) instead of Aura which is much faster.

User access policies allow you to define access for groups of users in a single operation. For example, you could specify a group of users to grant or revoke access to permission set licenses, permission sets, and permission set groups, package licenses, queues, and public groups.
