Complete Steps for AgentForce Setup

Step 1: Power Up Your Features

Let’s make sure everything’s ready to roll with your key features:

 Switch On Einstein:

  1. First of all, look for “Einstein Setup” in the Salesforce.
  2. Click the toggle to turn on Einstein.
  3. Now, refresh your browser to apply changes.

Switch On Agents:

  1. Search for “Agents” in Setup.
  2. Click the “Einstein Copilot for Salesforce” toggle to turn it on.
Step 2: Is Your Experience Cloud Site LIVE?

Your agent will interact with customers through an Experience Cloud site. Follow the below steps to publish it:

  1. Find “All Sites” in the setup.
  2. Next to your site (e.g., “coral-cloud”), click “Builder.”
  3. Click “Publish” in the upper right corner.
  4. Confirm by clicking “Publish” again.
Step 3: Assign Permission Sets

Your agent needs specific permissions to function properly:

  1. In Setup, look for “Users” and select it.
  2. Click on the “EinsteinServiceAgent” user.
  3. Go to “Permission Set Assignments.” There, you have to press “Edit Assignments.”
  4. Now, add “Service Agent Permissions” to the switched-ON permission sets.
  5. Click “Save.”
Step 4: Create Your Agent

Now, let’s develop your Agentforce Service Agent and running by following the below steps:

  1. In Setup, search for “Agents” and select it.
  2. Click “+ New Agent.”
  3. Choose “Agentforce Service Agent” and click “Next.”
  4. Deselect all topics except “General FAQ” and click “Next.”
  5. Name your agent (e.g., “CC Service Agent”).
  6. Select “EinsteinServiceAgent” as the user.
  7. Click “Next,” then “Create.”
Step 5: Add Custom Topics and Actions

Time has come to add a little personality to your agent to handle specific tasks:

Add a New Topic:

  1. Click “New” and select “New Topic” in Agent Builder.
  2. Fill in the topic details (e.g., “Experience Management”).
  3. Click “Next,” then “Finish.”

Add Actions to the Topic:

  1. Select the topic you just created.
  2. Go to “This Topic’s Actions” and click “New,” then “Add Action.”
  3. Choose “Flow” as the reference action type.
  4. Select the appropriate flow (e.g., “Get Experience Details”).
  5. Configure inputs and outputs as needed.
  6. Click “Finish.”
Step 6: Test and Launch Your Agent

Before deploying, test your agent to ensure it works correctly:

  1. In Agent Builder, use the “Conversation Preview” to simulate interactions.
  2. Make adjustments as needed based on the test results.
  3. Once satisfied, click “Activate” to deploy your agent.
